Into Darkness was a great movie. I’d heard mixed reviews about it, especially from the standpoint that it’s just a remake of Wrath of Khan, but there was more to it than that. Yes, there were some parallels with Khan, but they twisted the story around to make it new and fresh.
The Wrath of Khan wasn’t really my favorite ever, and the fact that they had to waste their time with The Search for Spock and undo everything that they did in that movie was pretty silly. Luckily, Into Darkness didn’t make that same mistake. They were able to wrap it into a semi neat little bow for us near the end when I was starting to grow very afraid that we’d have to watch a movie titled The Search for Kirk or something awful like that.

“When you came for me in the cave I was just six years old. You were ancient nothing could kill you, but the war it didn’t begin then. No it was two years later, when her necklace caught on his wrist, when he shoved his pistol to her jaw and pulled the trigger. And everything my mother was struck the pavement as a bloody wad.”
